Nick Wang is an Energy Transition Analyst at BloombergNEF, specialising in Taiwan’s energy transition with a focus on hydrogen and transport across Northeast Asia. His work examines how policy, capital allocation, and infrastructure constraints shape decarbonisation outcomes, with particular emphasis on industrial competitiveness, energy security, and the role of energy systems in global trade and supply chains.
Prior to BloombergNEF, Nick worked across sustainability consulting and corporate ESG, advising on sustainable supply chains, ocean sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. He has led ESG strategy and reporting initiatives across complex organisations, supporting the integration of sustainability into core business operations.
Having studied in Toronto at the University of Toronto and worked across both Canada and Taiwan, Nick brings a cross-cultural and systems-level perspective to energy transition and trade. His work is grounded in the practical realities of engineering economics and market design, with a focus on translating global trends into actionable insights for industry and policymakers.
